 Multiplying Polynomials

It's really quite simple once you get the hang of it, here let me give you an example.

2(x+y) now you may or may not already know how to do this but let me show you how.

2(x+y)

The number on the outside of the parenthesis has to multiply by all the numbers within it. Here, let me show you.

                                                                                                                                                2(x+y)

2 times X is 2X and two times Y is 2Y so the way you'd write this is 2x+2y if you still don't get it, then you can click here for more information on it.

Okay, so here are some more examples just in case you still don't get it. smiley face

Well if I just show you examples, it won't help you so I'll give you the definition of it, you might get it a bit more... okay so here it is...

okay, so "multiplying polynomials" isn't in the dictionary but i searched it separately and here it is..

For multipling, it says to increase number.. well that doesn't help so let me show you.. if you want to multiply numbers, you have to first know your numbers, for example, 2x2 , you might be thinking that its crazy for ou to know how to multiply that but it's really easy, okay so for your first step, you would basically add the numbers, but add it to how many there are, like

2+0=2

2+2=4

2+2+2=6

2+2+2+2=8

Do you get the pattern? Its like say you have 2x4, then you would add it to itself 4 times..2+2+2+2 and that would equal 8

whats a 2x4? No, its not a piece of wood, but it was just somewhat of an example.

If you want some easy problems to solve, then be my guest and solve the ones down there Arrow

 A) 2(x+y) =

B) 5(x+y)=

C) 7(x+y)=

  D) 10(x+y)=

If you thought those were easy, then here are a few harder ones winking_smiley.png smiley face image by c3mfh51792

 A) 2(2x+6y)=

B) 5(2x-7y)=

*C) 9x(3+4y)=

   *D) 4x(2+11y)=

*= a bit harder

Did I throw you a bit off with those lst four? Well, worry not, because I'll give you the answers but you have to actually do the problems first!!

For the easier questions, A) 2x+2y, B) 5x+5y, C) 7x+7y, D) 10x+10y

For the harder questions, A) 4x+12y, B) 10x-35y, C) 27x+36xy, D) 8x+44xy

Do you still want to learn more? Well, I'll give you some links for you to learn all about multiplying polynomials...

um in the beginning. 'its' has to be fixed to IT'S.[= &there should be a space between 'youstill'. otherwise, cute page ;]

so viewers would understand
it better.

OMG. I love this page. The colors are great, but you might want to make some of them darker or make the font just a bit bigger. :]By the way, I really like the flash icon at the end of your page ^^

your page is good. but, i think in tha beginning you should define polynomials because some people may not kno wat that is.

nice info and choice of colors, but I'd like to know more about when I'd use them and why
