RAtiOS
There are three ways to write a ratio: "A:B, A/B, or A to B."
To find a ratio you have to divide the first number and multiply the second.
Example: Find the value of B if A=6 and the numbers are 2:3
First you have to cross multiply. 2/6 = 3/n
2 x n and 3 x 6 18 = 2n
Then you divide 18 by 2 and you get 9
n=9
So A=6 and B=9
6:9 6/9 or 6 to 9
Here's another example that might help you if you don't understand

What is a ratio? I don't see a clear explanation of what a ratio is or why we might use one. I would like to hear more in your own words. Overlapping words and funny line breaks are making it difficult to read your page.
