Finding Area for 2-D Shapes!

What is area?

Area is the amount of space in a figure. In this case, it's for 2-D shapes.

What are 2-D Shapes?

          2-D = 2-Dimensional. A 2-D shape is a closed, flat figure.

For Example: A quadrilateral, triangle, circle, parallelogram, and a lot more :)

Area of a Square...

To find the area of a square, just multiply with this formula: Length squared or Length times Width.

L²   or  L xW                                                 L                                                     EX: 5x5=25 units squared

Area of a Rectangle...

To find the area of a retangle, multiply its Length to its Width.

                           L xW                                                              Ex:10x5=50 units squared

Area of a Triangle...

To find the area of a triangle, multiply half the base times the height.

               1/2bxh                                                                  Ex:1/2(12) x (8)

                                                                                                                                                                                                           6  x  8= 48 inches squared

Area of a Parallelogram...

To find the area of a parallelogram, multiply with its base tmes its height.

              BxH                                                                      Ex: 12x5=60 centemeters squared

Area of a Circle...

To find the area of a circle, multiply pi(3.14) with the circle's radius and the radius again.

             r²                                                                                                                     Ex: (3.14)(5)(5)=78.5 inches squared

I agree with Adela, you should show examples of how you can find the area of something. Also, instead of using an asterisk for multiplication, you can use an "x". That's what I did anyway.

Good but give an example on how to multiply them and just put circles and other shapes

Thanks for the comment! I LOVE yours! It's so COLORFUL!!! Yay! And there's lots of pictures! I like that! Just in my opinion though, the color of your title doesn't quite match everything else...it's too light...I think...

Good, but this gets hard to read the farther from the top one gets. A little more time fixing your pictures would help.
