Factor Trees
What is a factor tree?
A structure used to find the prime factorization of a positive integer.
How to make a factor tree
Example:
Step 1: Choose a starting number, write it on top 48
Step 2: Think of a factor pair 6 x 8
Step 3: Think of a factor pairs for both numbers 2 x 3 x 5 x 2
Step 4: When all numbers are factored they should all be prime 2^2 x 3 x 5
Examples:
The answer we get is: 72 is equal to in prime factorization
