Blaise Pascal

Who is Blaise Pascal?

Blaise Pascal was born in Clermont-Ferrand, France

in the auvergne region of France.  His mom died when

he was only three, leaving him with his dad who

educated him to become a child prodigy. Pascal's father

enjoyed math and science, and Blaise developed that love

as well. "Pascal's earliest work was in the natural and

applied sciences where he made important

contributions to the construction of mechanical calculators,

the study of fluids, and clarified the concepts of pressure and

Vacuum"-Wikipedia. When his father found him writing proof

that the sum of the angles of a triangle are equal to two right

angles,Étienne knew his son was truly following in his footsteps

to being a famous mathematician. Blaise, however was also studying

theology. Blaise died at the age of 39, in 1662, in Paris.

What is Pascal's triangle?

Basically the triangle is a triangle of numbers, each

 related to eachother.

"At the tip of Pascal's Triangle is the number 1, which makes

up the zeroth row. The first row (1 & 1) contains two 1's,

both formed by adding the two numbers above them to the left

and the right, in this case 1 and 0 (all numbers outside the

Triangle are 0's). Do the same to create the 2nd row: 0+1=1;

 1+1=2; 1+0=1. And the third: 0+1=1; 1+2=3; 2+1=3; 1+0=1. In

this way, the rows of the triangle go on infinitly. A number

in the triangle can also be found by nCr (n Choose r) where n

is the number of the row and r is the element in that row.

For example, in row 3, 1 is the zeroth element, 3 is element

number 1, the next three is the 2nd element, and the last 1 is

 the 3rd element."-http://ptri1.tripod.com/

i love your topic. you might want to change the color and/or the font. together it makes it hard to read. and it looks a little squished. also, when you highlighted some words in pink, it looks kinda weird. anyways, i love the info. and lydia sent me a comment like that too. i think she should expand on what exactly she thinks. anyways. nice job!

Erm, because I'm evil, I'm going to point out some incorrect grammar(I think I spelled that incorrectly... o.O lol ). "...region of france. His mom died when he was only three, leaving him with his dad who educated him to Become a child prodigy..." There should be a capital F in France, and a lowercase b in become."...his footsteps to being a famousmathematician." Shouldn't" there be a space in between "famous" and "mathematician"? "...rows of the triangle go on infinitly..." I think it's spelled "infinitely". Please excuse my pickiness. 0_o =^__^=

A good concise biography. Although a lot of the content is not your own, you do a good job of giving credit you your sources. Formating problems make your page a bit hard to read.
